The purpose of this application is to simplify the thin client administration and control for customers as well as to improve the competitiveness of the whole thin client solution offered by the company.

The Concept of Computer Laboratory for Non-profit Sector.

This bachelor thesis focuses on the project of computer laboratory for the Institution of Social Care for Disabled Youth - Kociánka realized with minimum costs of production. Using the computer network with thin clients and the operating system GNU/Linux serves for minimizing the costs. The thesis includes not only explanations of principles of technology, but also an implementation procedure for this project.

Hardware realization of hospital information system

The presented work concerns problems of more effective using hardware and also free software. The first part of my work presents generally free GNU/Linux distributions and this part is concentrated on two distributions. The first is Red Hat Enterprise Linux which is installed in the server of the hospital information system Clinicom. The second is live distribution Slax that is used for testing of terminal connection to the hospital information system Clinicom. The second part of my work is generally concentrated on the hospital information systems and there is presented the firm SMS solution at the end. It is the hospital information system Clinicom. The next part is generally concentrated on the workload server monitoring. It monitors both userlogins and allocated memory size. Then there are discused problems of solution of unthought-of events, for example blackout, and the one solution is described there. The last part is concentrated on implementation of the security connection to the hospital information system Clinicom and it presents live distribution Slax as distribution for thin client.

Deploying thin clients and terminal servers in various environments that differ in requirements for load and performance

The thesis deals with possibilities of the use of terminal servers and available virtualization technologies on Microsoft, Vmware and Citrix platforms.In the first part, technical principles for virtualization are analyzed in detail and contributions to individual technologies are compared.The second part is practically aimed and deals with the suggestion of testing methodology.The testing methodology consists of identification of key factors describing user´s behaviour, which are subsequently used for selection and dimensioning of hardware architecture.The testing methodology is transformed into a scripting language and prepared for automated tests.The realized tests can be divided into groups dealing with sever load performance, monitoring data transfer, and mapping of the system time response to user´s stimulation.Thin and software clients are computed on the clients side.Performance characterizations of RDP and PcoIP protocols are monitored and compared here. On the basis of the results of performed tests two case studies for computing thin clients in the environment of The Department of Telecommunications,Brno university of Technology and in a basic school are elaborated. The first case study intended for The Department of Telecommunications is concerned with computing of VMware View technology for 150 clients. The second one supposes to compute Microsoft Remote Desktop Services in the system enviroment of a basic school for 15 clients.

Administrační klient systému pro správu požadavků

This thesis is about design and implementation of a software tool for administrating ticket management system. The reader is introduced into current status of administration client in ALVAO. Behavior of this client is also described by use case diagrams. Based on cons of the aplication there are solutions to improve the current situation. The best solution is described in chapter 3, which is about design of the solution. This chapter includes, among other things, the application’s features, used technology and priorities for implementation. The last part of this thesis describes the implementation details in C#.
